Pitaya A.k.a Dragonfruit . The colorful flavor!


One of the most nutritious, vibrant and colorful fruits – The pitaya fruit is a go to fruitfor all the confectioner’s . Dragon fruit can be sliced, diced, cut into rounds or squares or just cut into random shapes and be arranged on a variety of dishes. The fact that the fruit is also good for diabetics with its high fiber content make it more than just a good choice for things such as fruit tarts, or as a fruit based garnish in any dessert.

Apart from the fact that dragon fruit can be cut up and put on a dish to improve its visual appeal, it also can be used as an ingredient in many healthy things –


Smoothies


The Best ingredient in a smoothie is the ingredient you love the most, & and that’s what makes it incredible! It can still be broken down into the following :

1 . Base – The base can be curd, yogurt or even the juice of any fruit eg. DragonFruit

2. Flavoring – Apart from the juice of a fruit, a smoothie can still be improved with the addition of a flavour. eg mint, strawberry, blueberry

3. Mixers – Call them mixers, crunchy or anything else. mixers are the things which will not only boost your smoothie but will give that something extra. Eg – Flat oats, Muesli, Chia seeds, multigrain seeds, nuts.

Granita


ADD GRRR….. TO YOUR GRANITA WITH A
RED PITAYA!

Mix It with water or soda or just juice it up! Granita is the italian way of making an ice cream & that too fat free.

Blend together Dragonfruit with fruits, nuts, or just with soda along with sugar and some lemon juice .

Freeze and scrape and repeat till the grainy bits freeze into small seperate ice crystals to make the best granita you can


Fresh Fruit Salads/Flavoured yogurt bowls


Slice, dice or just chop it into different ways , a pitaya can be added to a salad or yogurt bowl in many ways.

In a yogurt bowl, the same can be blended along with hung curd and honey to have the best base of a fruitfull yogurt bowl which can then be topped up with nuts, different seeds, different fruits or even your favourite cereal.

Making a eye catchy fruit salal with a dragon fruit however is the most easiest thing. With its addition – the nutrient level and the looks of the salad can be taken to a whole new level.
